Donation Drive From BLC - Nayi Soch

Dear All,

Jai Jhoolelal

The desire to see someone smile, is a precious one, and to implement that in the season of joy and spreading smiles, is a gift one should forever behold. Not everyone has the ability or the quality in them to spread the gift of joy, but if the ones who do decide to give it to other people, they sure can make a millions hearts smile, and make even a billion amazed by their efforts to just make this world a better and more happy place to live it.

The Nayi Soch bedi of the Sindhi Association, spread through the community, the “Drive of Donation.” They pitched to the community an idea, to be the Santa in the lives of a few old people, who have been abandoned by their rightful children, or have just lost their purpose in life. The Nayi Soch, decided to play Santa and let the whole community be a part of this initiative to spread the spirit of Christmas in the form of donating whatever anyone felt, towards someone who they knew needed love, care and affection, which they would feel if their basic necessities were met.

Now once the plan was set, the timing and date just fell into place, Sindhi’s from all over the city, came forth and donate with their hearts, all that they could, and ensured full participation from all ages, so they feel that inner happiness, when they put a smile on the face of someone else. So now donations were in, items sorted out, well we could say yes they were indeed waiting for Christmas, to go all out and finally spread what they had collected.

So the Nayi Soch decided to go to RVM Ashram in Bangalore, and meet the people there. On 21st December, 2014 they decided to make a Sunday a useful day and head out, early, just in time to serve breakfast to the people there. Post breakfast, along with the joy and contentment they felt, just by serving the elders and making them happy, the elders there though in the toughest of conditions, still reciprocated. They blessed each one of the youth members present there, and smiled away into their daily routines.

The Nayi Soch then tried to make the elders live their culture for a while. The art of gifts is been a traditional old one, but the revived it, and clubbed it with the new art of pictures so the memory lasts. The youth along with BLC president Mrs. Shoba Kalro, gave out all the news gifts to the people there and took pictures of them, so they could treasure all that the happiness they lived and felt on the day.

Memories are made, just so the last, and the Nayi Soch sure knows that this was the best Christmas memory they could ever be a part off. Making people happy, especially the people who long for all the love, care and joy, was something the Nayi Soch, sure wanted to try. And they more than well succeeded in their attempt. So they know their first step in doing something for the community of the people, was more than just a huge success, and spread a lot of the Christmas spirit around.
